Flair bartending, once overshadowed by mixology, is making a comeback in India thanks to the Indian Flair Bartenders Association (IFBA). Founded in 2019, IFBA is dedicated to reviving the art of flair, supporting bartenders, and building a stronger, connected community.
Building a Platform for Talent
Since its inception, IFBA has organized more than eight national-level flair and mixology competitions. These events have not only showcased incredible talent but also inspired young bartenders to pursue flair professionally. Beyond competitions, IFBA fosters mentorship, recognition, and growth opportunities for bartenders across the country.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, IFBA went beyond events—raising funds to support over 280 bartenders and hospitality workers. This initiative highlighted its commitment to the welfare of the entire hospitality community.
Shaping the Future of Flair
Looking forward, IFBA plans to expand competitions across India, introduce training workshops, and prepare bartenders for international championships. Their long-term vision is to host an international flair bartending competition in India, positioning the country on the global bartending stage.
✨ The journey of IFBA is more than just cocktails—it’s about passion, resilience, and community spirit. With their dedication, flair bartending in India is not only surviving but thriving.
